Overview

Applied Epi has developed several free resources for self-learning R and epi methods, all of which have been based on real-life public health data challenges and solutions. These resources are available in multiple languages. If you are interested in other languages or in supporting the creation of other resources, please let us know at [email protected].

Epi R Handbook

The handbook is the go-to R book for epidemiologists and anyone with public health data tasks, with over 1 million unique users since its launch in 2021. The handbook serves as a quick R code reference manual (online and offline) with task-centered examples that address common epidemiological problems.

R tutorials

Our free self-paced tutorials are training materials for beginner audiences, to learn and practice R in the context of realistic data challenges experienced by frontline epidemiologists. Supportive funding for these tutorials was provided by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) / Doctors without Borders, TEPHINET, and the US CDC.

Case Study Repository

This repository contains both adapted and newly developed case studies that guide you through real-world scenarios with tasks and questions relevant to epidemiologists. Check back regularly, as we continue to add more case studies in additional languages in collaboration with our partners.
